The WMO is situated opposite the Botanical Gardens only 250m from the World Trade Organization.

How to get there

Getting to WMO from the airport

Taxi: From the taxi rank outside the Arrivals Hall (Ground floor)
Cost: approximately CHF 25.00 – 30.00

Bus: Bus 28 can be taken from outside the Terminal Building (First floor). The stop is situated on the left when coming out of the terminal. The bus goes all the way to Jardin Botanique, which faces the WMO building at the last stop. Cost: CHF 3.00 (tickets available from machines, which also accept Euros)

Getting to WMO from the centre of Geneva

From Cornavin Station, trams 13 and 15 go to the Place des Nations. The WMO is then within walking distance (avenue de la Paix, towards the lake – 10 minutes). Buses 1, 11 and 28 also stop at the Jardin Botanique, which faces the WMO building.

Parking is available in the WMO, on first come, first saved basis. Parking Access cards are available at the registration desk on the main floor.

Wednesday, 2 December 7.30 am – 7.30 pm

The GTDS will be held in five conference rooms, which will be arranged to host meetings and briefings for groups of between 20 to 200 participants. All of the rooms are equipped with powerpoint facilities.

Interpretation from English to French will be provided in Rooms A, B and Press Room, upon request.

Water for speakers and participants will be available in the rooms.

An internet corner will be available with 6 computers linked to a printer on the main floor (password: felix).

Badge collection

Badges can be collected at the WMO ICTSD registration desk, located at the main entrance of the WMO building on Monday 30th of November from 8.00 am. Please note that due to strict security arrangements, badges must be collected personally by each individual representative. Badges are strictly personal and cannot be exchanged or shared and must be worn visibly at all times.
