Diplomat since 1987 with extensive experience in multilateral affairs, including trade. Previously, agricultural trade negotiator based in Geneva (2001-2004) and Head of the Agricultural and Commodities Division - Ministry of External Relations (2004-2008).
Other diplomatic experience - Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN in New York (1992-1995), Embassy of Brazil to Uruguay (1995-1998). Seconded to the United Nations Transitional Authority in East Timor (2000).
