Global Voices is a not for profit organisation seeking to provide opportunities for young Australians to engage with international policy both at home and abroad. We do this through regular events and development opportunities in Australia as well as through the coordination of youth delegations to important diplomatic forums abroad. We are bringing a delegation of four university students to the Ministerial Conference in Bali in December who will also be participating in the ICTSD Trade and Sustainable Development Symposium. Examples of our previous delegations include those to APEC, the UNFCCC, Rio +20, the WTO Public Forum, and the OECD.
This poster session introduces four Australian university students who are studying and working in areas related to trade in Australia. They will each present the findings of their recent research that discusses a trade related issue relevant to both WTO and Australia. The presentation will highlight why these issues are important to each of them as young Australian leaders.
The session will also give audience members the opportunity to engage with the youth delegates on the issues related to their research but also general questions on youth engagement with diplomacy, international affairs and trade in Australia.
