Wimar WITOELAR

Mr. Witoelar is a former presidential spokesperson, three times winner of a National TV award, and Adjunct Professor in PR and Journalism at Deakin University (Australia).

After brief government duty as Presidential Spokesman for President Abdurrahman Wahid of Indonesia, Wimar Witoelar moved back the private sector with his consulting firm InterMatrix (established 1986). He is also the co-founder of an English language business magazine, Indonesian Business (established 1997).

Mr. Witoelar is active in the public affairs and communications sphere, including hosting and producing talk shows for television and radio, as well as providing print columns and interviews. ┬áHe frequently appears on international television and radio(ABC, SBS, Nine Network, BBC, CNN, CNBC, NBC, European channels) as a commentator. Mr. Witoelar has also hosted the Australian TV programme, “Sunday Show” (Nine Network) and written a column for Newsweek. He is a consultant for publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, The Washington Post, and The Straits Times.
